Sephora 10th Anniversary Bash

“Lipstick Martini’s”, custom designed train cases, fab performances by Natasha Bedingfield and Ashanti and tunes by Samantha Ronson all held in a gothic church on the Lower East Side set the stage for a New York night to remember!



The Amazing Girls partying with the likes of Lindsay Lohan? Well, we were in the same room... does that count? Sephora pulled out all the stops to make this evening un-forgettable. Lindsay’s BFF, DJ Spooky, kept the night rockin` while we mingled with the founders from many of our favorite cosmetic and skin care companies like Jared Blandino from Too Faced, Christina Carlino from Philosophy and Carol Shaw from Lorac.



Natasha Bedingfield’s performance knocked everyone off their feet (the Lipstick Martini’s might have helped ) as she belted song after song with her amazingly powerful spot-on voice.

But the hilarious end to this dazzling evening still has us laughing today. Leaving the soiree, we were met (accosted) by the paparazzi that had been camped out in front of the church where the celebs stood and posed for pic’s before entering. “Who are you”, they asked. “What’s your name”? “I know we know you, what’s your name”? At first, we were like ok, clearly this is a case of mistaken identity. But when they followed us down the street, turned the corner and practically got in our cab it became ANNOYING!

We’ll never wonder again what it would feel like to be in the limelight, stalked by photographers and groped by over-adoring fans. Ok so the last one didn’t really happen, but after a brush with celebrity, the Amazing Girls happily trekked back to Chicago.

Gossip Girl

Ahh the smell of finale season is in the air and none smell sweeter than the designer fragrances floating from the Upper East Siders we just love to hate.  Thanks to Gossip Girl being mean has never looked so good.  It's hard to spot all of the manipulation and gossip with the naked eye and you better believe the girls at Constance wear the best camouflage.  From their Louboutins to their La Perlas only the finest in fashion and style could ever don the backs (...or feet) of these American princesses.  So who did the makeup artists turn to, to perfect the porcelain complexions of Blair Waldorf and Serena VanderWoodsen? ...drum roll please... Who else but Amazing Cosmetics?!

It’s true.  According to head makeup artist Amy Johnston, nothing works better than Amazing when it comes to keeping the gossip queens' skin looking flawless.

Very Terri

One of the best parts of my job is getting to talk to the celebrity makeup artists that have become such a huge part of our “Amazing” family. It’s really fun to hear what goes on behind the scenes, especially when it comes from one of our good friends like Terri Apanasewicz. Terri has been a celebrity makeup artist for over 17 years and has worked with some of the most beautiful and famous faces in the industry like, Heidi Klum, Cindy Crawford, and Gisele Bundchen just to name a few. Just recently, Terri founded her own company,  P3 Beauty, to help empower everyday women with the tools and techniques she’s used on her more famous clients and part of that beauty regime are the AmazingCosmetics “complexion perfection” products.

One Tree Hill

Ok, I admit it. I’m addicted to One Tree Hill.

What started off as my daughter’s favorite show that she’d occasionally force me to watch, has turned into a full-blown TV abuse problem. So, you can imagine my delight when I learned that my long lost love would finally return to prime-time programming. (only this time they might actually look the age their playing?) With the “4 years later” come-back well under way, I have to say I’m thrilled, and the best part is that long time friend and Amazing devotee, Tym Buacharern is the new head makeup artist. So we weren’t surprised when Tym called our office the other day to chat with Meri Beth our director of operations. But we were floored when he handed the phone to a very excited Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer). Hil raved about the makeup telling us “Not only is the AmazingConcealer absolutely AMAZING, it’s super light-weight and feels like I’m not wearing makeup at all, even when we’ve been shooting for 18hrs”; she also dished that Bethany Joy Galeotti (Haley James Scott) loves the AmazingConcealer too!

I have officially cleared my Tuesday nights for an hour of One Tree Hill… and then of course my One Tree Addicts Anonymous meetings…

The Studio

AmazingCosmetics threw an "Amazing" party on March 6th to celebrate the opening of our very first retail store and brand new corporate office located in downtown Libertyville, IL, a northern suburb of Chicago... Go Bears!

Designed by the uber talented Matt Lorenz, Bravo's Top Design winner, The Studio was set to party! With its outdoor-sy feel boasting gigantore cherry blossoms in pink tinted water, candelabra's, grass-like flooring and massive mirrors, you'd swear you were at a friend's backyard party. The soiree treated guests to sinful desserts, a signature drink suitably named the Amazing Bellini (yes I had a few), and of course mini makeovers!

So many friends of the brand turned out to help us celebrate... and without friends how much fun would any of this really be?

Before the doors opened, we took a quick look around at our new digs and thought...

"Where is Tiger when you need him?" Funny story... I'll explain later!

I decided for my first AmazingCosmetics blog, well, my first blog ever, I would share a few things about me. First, I believe everything you do in life needs a soundtrack. I actually read that somewhere, but can't find a better way to say music is a must! Fashion magazines rule and laughter, well, that's a must too and lucky for me, we do a lot of it around AmazingCosmetics!

Beauty Scoop will keep you in the loop on all things Amazing; who's wearing it and which feature film and television shows are using it behind the scenes. The latest and greatest in skin care, color cosmetics and you never know....maybe a guest blog or two from a few of our famous friends!
